Chakras are spheres of different coloured spiritual energy within the human body that vibrate according to our belief system and our connection to Universal energy. The ‘chakra system’ is comprised of seven major energy centres in the human body and are located in various places along the spinal column from the base of our spine all the way up to the top of our head.
Each chakra rotates either clockwise or anticlockwise vibrating at a different frequency and represents a different energetic purpose. For example, the root chakra located at the base of our spine is focused on our security and basic survival instincts. If there is a specific area of your life that you’d like to improve such as your love-life, then you can focus on the health of your heart chakra and make sure its functioning at its best. When our chakras are healthy our life tends to flow more smoothly.
There are many things we can do to rebalance the vibration and health of our chakras. Assuming they all need some care and attention we can start with a very easy cleansing and decluttering process:
Sit comfortably with your back straight and the soles of your feet on the floor. Begin by acknowledging that you are safe, grounded, and guided for your highest good and wellbeing. There is an Archangel associated with each chakra but for the purpose of this exercise we will ask Archangel Michael to step forward to help us. When you can sense Michael’s presence, simply ask him to remove all the clutter and debris from your chakras and return them to their natural state of excellent health. Start at the base chakra, moving upwards, see your chakras vibrantly, observe how they spin and vibrate with health and become mindful of their purpose as follows:
Root chakra: base of your spine, glows a vivid shade of red when healthy, promoting safety and security.
Sacral Chakra: in the abdominal area, a beautiful shade of orange when healthy, promoting joy and enthusiasm for life!
Solar Plexus Chakra: in the area above your navel, a bright shade of sunshine-yellow when healthy, promoting a strong sense of self-esteem.
Heart Chakra: in the centre of the chest, gentle shade of light green when healthy, promoting love and compassion.
Throat Chakra: in the throat area, a soothing shade of blue when healthy, promoting expression and communication.
Third-eye Chakra: in the centre of the forehead just above the eyebrows, and a gorgeous shade of indigo when healthy, its function is to promote our psychic ability.
Crown Chakra: on the top of the head, violet in colour when healthy, promoting our understanding of spirituality and our connection to the Divine.
As you become more familiar with your chakras you can begin exploring more about the Angels, essential oils, and crystals that correspond with specific chakras and how tuning-in to your chakras and decluttering them every few days can change how you see yourself and how you feel about your life.
